3.) Sesame Oil: sesame seeds reduce plaque, help build tooth enamel and have been known to reduce sores caused by gingivitis and total bacterial count.
4.) Tofu: tofu contains phosphorus which has a mineral that protects tooth enamel. Tofu has also been linked to mending bones and teeth!
5.) Apples: another fibrous fruit that stubs away plaque and freshens breath.
6.) Strawberries: Want pearly whites? Eat more strawberries. Strawberries contain malic acid which is said to whiten enamel naturally!
7.) Vitamin D rich foods: egg yolks, fatty fish, and mushrooms are all sources of vitamin D which is good for bones and teeth.
8.) Celery: celery is nature’s floss! It cleans up left over food between the teeth. Chewing the stringy vegetable also increases healthy saliva which helps stop bacteria that causes brittle teeth.
9.) Sweet potato: loaded with vitamin A, this vegetable is especially good for babies’ developing teeth.
10.) Leafy vegetables: spinach, bok choy, chard, collard greens and broccoli require a lot of chewing which generates saliva that helps scrub your teeth when chewing. Leafy vegetables also contain numerous minerals that promote good oral health.
